Experience

Acruxs Labs ( Independant Contractor )
Working multiple contracts encompassing Airbnb, Property Management, Event Management and Hotel Bookings.

    ● Developed multiple API Endpoints using AWS API Gateway, Lambda (Node.js), SAM and AWS Secrets for an event driven Badge Builder application.

    ● Supporting, debugging and developing new features in multiple Vue 3 applications related to online events.

    ● Supporting Property Management maintenance applications for multiple Airbnb property managers.

    ● Integration with a major hotel online booking company for a large event company to handle user bookings while attending their events.
Stova (Formerly MeetingPlay)
Large event company with an on-premise presence, virtual and mobile applications. Responsible for code reviews and merges into staging and production environments. Mentoring other developers, interviewing and onboarding contractors. Currently moving into an AWS Developer role that is heavily involved in writing NodeJS based lambda functions using API gateways.

    - Implemented AWS secrets integration providing the ability to pull out critical API Keys and passwords from our code. Provided training and documentation to allow other developers to quickly implement this code from new fusion cloned sites.

    - Amazon Pay integration for a large AWS Event - Working from the documentation, I built many Lambda/Node JS functions providing the ability to accept Amazon Pay as a payment solution within one of our microsites. This system was used to process hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of payments to reserve conference spaces.

    - Developed with our team a real time usage reporting tool that used multiple AWS Technologies like Kinesis, RedShift, CloudFront, Lambdas, API Gateways and Cold Fusion to deliver a reporting request system that allowed the client to request complicated time-consuming reports and be notified when complete.

    - Contributed to many internal tools such as automatic code generation tools, custom CommandBox modules and Git automation.
InhabitIQ
Originally brought on to manage servers and institute nonexistent version control practices. Expanded role to mentor junior developers, set standards, and lead scrum meetings for key initiatives. Continued to take on additional responsibility managing 3 teams of developers for multiple different product lines.

    - Engineered an API using REST methodology to interact with our SaaS applications giving our customers more options to access their accounts and manage internal processes.

    - Developed two mobile applications using PhoneGap and ColdFusion deployed to both the Apple Store and Google Play to meet customer requirements for remote access by facility engineers and tenants.

    - Implemented continuous deployment via CircleCI to standardize how the development team releases new features and bug fixes.

    - Managed and migrated 2500+ domain DNS records to Cloudflare via their API.

    - Designed and documented an end-to-end developer process using VS Code, CommandBox, Lucee and ACF to keep our development team using cutting-edge development tools.

Leprino Foods
Hired to oversee company intranet to improve information sharing and cross divisional interaction. Evolved into supporting ERP implementation by designing web application for manufacturing plant preventive maintenance.

    - Built sizeable ColdFusion application for internal employee performance evaluations and personal development resulting in saving over $500,000 software expense.

    - Managed 8 Flex Developers during a large ERP implementation with Flex front ends for three of the business's most critical processes around Plant Maintenance, Quality Management, and Quality Alerts.

    - Directed an extensive Portal Strategy case study which captured survey participation from 75% of the company's employees and presented outcome with suggestions on future technology offerings.

    - Engaged with department leaders to help build applications to increase productivity and collaborated with marketing to keep the public-facing website updated.

Projects

How I built and configured this site

I built this site as a learning process with the goal of learning new technologies and implementing them in a real-world application. I started with a simple HTML template and hosted it on AWS S3 using the static site hosting option. I setup the domain within Route 53 and pointed it to a CloudFront distribution to serve the site over HTTPS using SSL.

This was a great learning experience and I look forward to adding more features to this site in the future. I will be adding more projects to this site as I continue to learn new technologies including examples of projects I have worked on in the past.
