Hi, my name is Robb and I'm an Experienced Senior Back-End Developer and AWS Cloud Engineer
with a proven track record of over 20 years in robust ColdFusion solutions and many other technologies.
I'm an inspirational leader driving high-quality results and passionate about delivering
innovative solutions for enhanced functionality and efficiency.
If I were to describe myself in a few words, I would say that I am driven, adaptable, and a continuous learner. I am always seeking new challenges and opportunities to expand my skill set and make meaningful contributions to the ColdFusion and AWS landscapes.
With a deep-rooted curiosity, I constantly seek new challenges and opportunities for growth. I have a knack for problem solving, which enables me to adapt to face paced environments and providing consistent solutions. My dedication to excellence and meticulous attention to detail have consistently contributed to my success in my career.
Beyond my professional life, I am a firm believer in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I find solace in woodworking and flying rc aircraft, which not only provide me with a creative outlet but also help me approach my work with fresh perspectives.
Collaboration is at the core of my working style, and I thrive in diverse teams where innovative ideas flourish. I am a strong communicator, able to articulate complex concepts with ease and foster open dialogue to drive consensus and achieve common goals.
I built this site as a learning process with the goal of learning new technologies and implementing them in a real-world application. I started with a simple HTML template and hosted it on AWS S3 using the static site hosting option. I setup the domain within Route 53 and pointed it to a CloudFront distribution to serve the site over HTTPS using SSL.
The contact form below uses an await/async function to post the data to an AWS API Gateway endpoint. The endpoint is configured to trigger a Lambda function that sends an email to me using AWS SES. The Lambda function also writes the data to a DynamoDB table for future analysis.
This was a great learning experience and I look forward to adding more features to this site in the future. I will be adding more projects to this site as I continue to learn new technologies including examples of projects I have worked on in the past.
